full of scientists misunderstood
making circuits from branches and clothes out of leaves
they live off the land and they do as they please
in laboratories by the creek.

Syncopate the fax machine
conducting experiments in trees
they forage for berries and eat what they've found
the all wear pajamas and sleep on the ground
bunson burners cook their food

investigate their surroundings
scrutinizing piles of dirt
a treehouse could be your lab,
all the equipment that you need
is scattered in the underbrush

Experimental foliage,
they build computers out of twigs
they channel their bandwidth through stalks of bamboo
they send all their email through pneumatic tubes
fashioned out of hollow logs
